years of experiences design & software

hi there! i'm Nahl; i've been coding and designing since i was 16; then i graduated from software engineering school and, in the same year, from the Apple Developer Academy; i've also won several competitions in the field, and spent some time teaching. i've been working alongside a lot of my fellows, and what i seek is a true collaboration — making things together as a story and a journey

creative engineering

when creative meets engineering it combines two very big domains of knowledge; two very big powers;

creative brings you to the door of empathy while engineering brings you to every technical aspect; and that is what i choose to be my domain, my power, and my field to fight in.

i'm here to bring the best of creative and engineering together in practice, on every project i handle; holding the business purpose and the functionality in the same hand

roles and paths i do through creative engineering

  • this is where i start with the people first; i sit with the problem before i sit with the pixel, mapping what they actually need and what the business actually wants, then shaping the flow, the screens, and the small details until the thing feels obvious to use; i build the design system too, so what we make can keep growing without losing its own face

  • i build for the platform in its own language; swift for iOS, kotlin for android, so the app moves the way the device expects and nothing feels borrowed; i care about the parts users never name — how fast it opens, how it behaves with no signal, how it holds their data safely — because that is what makes an app trusted, not the splash screen

  • the web is where most people meet you first, so i treat it as the front door; i turn design into markup that is fast, accessible, and honest to the layout, and i keep it working on the phone in someone hand as much as on the big screen; performance is not a step at the end for me, it is part of how i build from the first line

  • when a team needs to be on both platforms without building everything twice, this is the path i take; one codebase, and still a product that feels right on each side; i use it when the trade is worth it and i say so when it is not — because choosing the right tool is part of the job, not a thing you decide before you understand the problem

some of the stories

  • Hitung Untung — product design

    Hitung Untung

a math game that teaches through a market adventure; kids run their own little stall, count the change back, and learn the numbers without ever being told they are studying; i shaped the whole thing from the flow down to the last screen — what a child sees first, how a wrong answer should feel, and what they carry home after they finish

  • Disiplin — native app

    Disiplin

a habit tracker built for the days you do not feel like it; i wanted it to be honest about a missed day instead of punishing you for it, so the streak is there but it is not the whole story; built native so it opens the moment you tap it and still knows where you left off when the signal does not

  • PPMI Madinah — web frontend

    PPMI Madinah

a portal for indonesian students in madinah — campus information, announcements, and publications gathered in one place they can actually find; most of them open it on a phone with a tired connection, so i built the front end around that first and made sure every page still reads when the network gives up halfway

these are the ones we set out to begin and pursue.
each has its own story and journey, each has its own values

flow of journey

step one

understanding before building

i start with the people and the problem; what they actually need, what the business actually wants, and the places those two quietly disagree — because that gap is usually where the real work is hiding.

step two

shaping and building

then i build it for real; the flow, the design system, and the code underneath, made to still hold up in the second month rather than only look right in a mockup.

step three

shipping, then staying

launch is the middle of the story, not the end; i watch how it behaves in real hands, fix what the first week exposes, and keep it growing without letting it lose the thing that made it work.

well let alone the stories flow - we never really know how far will it goes; but if you never start so you never know, and if you never know, you never conquer; let everything does as your legacy and may God preserve you
